The 114th National Convention was held in Grand Rapids, MI.

Resolutions for the National Convention from Kentucky
Non-binding resolutions are advisory in nature.  Most issues for non-binding resolutions will need to be negotiated with the Postal Service to allow them to be put into practice.  Often, these resolutions are called a “wish list”.  These are items the carriers wish would happen and are taken into consideration when the National Board is negotiating with the Postal Service for our contract.  Passing these resolutions DO NOT MEAN THEY WILL BE IMEDIATELY PUT INTO PRACTICE.
The following 4 resolutions were passed by the delegates:

BE IT RESOLVED: That all relief carriers be compensated at one and a half (1 ½) time the standard hourly rate for working on Sundays and Federal holidays. (CO, KY, NY, WI)
BE IT RESOLVED: That EDDM and Boxholder mailings over eleven (11) inches be classified as flats. (KY)
BE IT RESOLVED: That carriers be allowed to select Monday or the Friday/Saturday option for their relief day as long as no single non-Saturday relief day will be assigned to more routes than a Saturday relief day. (KY)
BE IT RESOLVED: That time be credited for POV routes to apply signs and lights to their POV. (KY)
The last of our resolutions was defeated:
BE IT RESOLVED: That RCA bidding in a multi-station office to be converted to online bidding process for RCAs to have real time ability to bid on primary assignments. (KY)
